Introduction

Oemi Labs ("we", "us", or "our") develops and publishes Sproutsy, a baby growth tracking application available on the Apple App Store. This Privacy Policy explains how Sproutsy collects, uses, and protects your information.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name. This is used for authentication and to identify your account.

Child Profiles

You may enter information about your child, including their name, date of birth, gender, and optionally a photo. This data is used to personalise the tracking experience. For premature babies, you may also provide an estimated due date to calculate corrected age.

Health & Fitness Data

Sproutsy collects the following health-related data, entered by you:

• Growth measurements — weight and height recordings over time.
• Feeding logs — breastfeeding sessions (duration and side), bottle feeds (volume), and pumping sessions (volume and duration).
• Solid food records — foods introduced, amounts, and your child's reaction, including any allergy information.

Family & Sharing

Sproutsy allows you to share access with family members. When you create or join a family group, we store the group membership so that authorised members can view and contribute to your child's records.

Information We Do Not Collect

Sproutsy does not collect:

• Location data
• Financial or payment information
• Browsing or search history
• Contacts or address book data
• Identifiers used for tracking across apps or websites

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to:

• Display and chart your child's growth over time
• Track feeding patterns and solid food introduction
• Sync data across your devices and with family members
• Operate and improve the app

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the core functionality of the app.

Data Storage & Third-Party Services

Your data is stored using Google Firebase services:

• Cloud Firestore — for storing account, child profile, growth, feeding, and food data.
• Firebase Storage — for storing photos you upload.
• Firebase Authentication — for managing your account and sign-in.

Google processes this data on our behalf under their Data Processing Terms. We do not sell, trade, or share your data with any other third parties, except as required by law.

Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. Upon request, we will delete your data within 30 days.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and stored in secured infrastructure provided by Google Firebase. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

Sproutsy is designed for parents and caregivers to track their child's growth and development. While the app stores information about children (such as name, date of birth, and health measurements), this data is provided and managed entirely by the parent or caregiver — not by the child.

Sproutsy is not intended to be used directly by children. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account without parental consent, please contact us at [email protected] and we will take steps to delete the account and associated data promptly.

Tracking

Sproutsy does not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies. We do not use advertising identifiers or share data with advertising networks or data brokers.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
